You don't have to worry about dropping them or someone stepping on one like you do a laptop. You also don't have to worry about the battery going dead in the middle of using it.
The desktop computers are just as great as the laptops. Brands like Dell, Gateway, MAC, HP and Sony computers are very inexpensive. Some places are offering great deals on the computer, monitor and some even include a printer. There expensive desktops out there like the HP Touchsmart Desktop that has touch pad capabilities but if you are in the market for a computer and you don't need anything special or fancy then you can get a great deal on one.
With prices the way they are these days, people are always looking for a bargain. You can get a great deal on desktops from Craig's List or on Ebay. You can look in your local paper and advertiser for rebuilt computers or discounted computers. You can always find a great deal if you look hard enough. But desktops are great some of them have 80 GB and others have 320 GB and more. You should make a list of what you need from a computer and then shop around either online or in your local electronic store and see which brands have what you want and then compare functions, specs and prices and see who comes out on top.
When it comes to any type of electronics and before you spend a lot of money you should always shop around and see where you can get the best prices and the best computers.
